Calories, protein, vitamins, and minerals are all vital for the body to function. But it can be tough to obtain these essential nutrients during an emergency when resources are scarce.
Easy Meal’s dietitian recommended, freeze dried meal kits ensure your residents receive the nutrition they need to power through any crisis. With each meal containing the recommended dietary allowance of protein and calories, it’s never been easier to provide balanced, great-tasting meals — even with minimal resources.
It’s often been questioned if the freeze drying process removes the nutrients from food, but this is simply not true. Our freeze drying process removes 98% of water from food, reducing weight while still retaining the nutritional value. When you eat freeze dried foods by Easy Meal, you’ll not only replenish your body, but will find the same home cooked, fresh food taste as you would with other fresh food.
Each Easy Meal kit contains a variety of delicious meals that appeal to any palate. We offer comforting, familiar foods like Macaroni and Cheese, Beef Stew, and Granola with Blueberries that deliver amazing flavor and balanced nutrition. We also offer other staples like peanut butter powder and instant nonfat dry milk. All of our meals are packaged for long term storage and require minimal resources to prepare — simply add cold or boiling water to rehydrate the meals and you’re all set to enjoy a delicious, satisfying, and nutritious meal.

Dietitian Recommended
Barbara George, MS, RD, LD, helped Easy Meal develop great-tasting, nutritious meals for those in crisis. Here’s what she has to say about our products:
Imagine having access to food that provides a home-like experience in the middle of a crisis. In my 20 years as a food service director, I developed emergency food plans based on the quick use of leftovers and canned food. While this food provides the nutritional basics, in an emergency it can’t provide residents with a sense of comfort.
Easy Meal maintains a flavorful and nutritious menu and will promote security for all involved. In fact, any staff member can prepare and present a full meal in just minutes.
Easy Meal has a 10-year shelf life guarantee, so you don’t need to constantly rotate your stock. The kits are compact, lightweight and are designed to conveniently feed residents a complete menu of nutritious foods. The meals can easily transition into the menu for short term emergencies, which cause staff shortages, like flu outbreaks.
Easy Meal foods have been evaluated to ensure they meet the RDA for protein and caloric needs. I feel confident in recommending Easy Meal to other food service directors and dietitians and encourage them to consider the benefits of Easy Meal for their emergency food plans.
